The Minnesota Timberwolves dominated the Utah Jazz 137-97, moving to 1-0 in West Group A play while Utah dropped to 0-2. Anthony Edwards led the way with 37 points, hitting 7-of-12 from three—a season high—along with five rebounds. Jaden McDaniels added 22 points and seven rebounds, and Julius Randle recorded a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists, marking his 16th career regular-season triple-double and second with Minnesota.

For the Jazz, Keyonte George scored 18 points with four rebounds and two assists, while Lauri Markkanen and rookie Ace Bailey each added 12 points, with Bailey grabbing six rebounds.
The 40-point win was the largest margin of victory by any team this season and the seventh 40-point win in Timberwolves franchise history.

Minnesota led wire-to-wire to improve to 5-4 overall, while Utah fell to 3-6.
